CPS CLEAR KILLER COPS

Discussion about the July 7th 2005 bombings on London's public transport network. Underground CCTV security contract awarded to crooked (Kobi Alexander chair of their parent company is on the run) Israeli firm Verint Systems & their boss, IDF trained explosives expert Daniel Bodner. Crookedness, incompetance, misfescence and corruption at MI5, Scotland Yard 'Untouchables' and other parts of the Metropolitan Police which allowed 7/7 to happen and have contributed to the London Bombings not being investigated.

CPS CLEAR KILLER COPS

CPS CLEAR KILLER COPS - - BBC R5 12:10

CPS deliver live press conference:

INTERVIEW: SEVEN O'DOHERTY, CPS - I've completed a review into the death of JCdM after a complaint from the IPCC, I'm now satisfied I have sufficient evidence to come a conclusion. All cases must consider whether there is a real chance of a verdict in prosecution no matter how serious it should be, I concluded there wasn't a chance of convicting any single individual but there is enough evidence to convict the police under the health and safety act for not protecting the welfare or Jean Charles. Those who shot him thought he was a suicide bomber and that he would blow up the train if they didn't shoot him. The evidence supports their claim they genuinely believed he was a suicide bomber, we cannot disprove that claim so will not pursue a murder charge. Jean Charles was not a suicide bomber, how did people think so? No individual was culpable to have committed the offence. Experts could not agree if log books were altered or by whom so there could be no prosecution in relation to the log book. Duties were breached under the H&S act so I authorised a prosecutions. This is not a prosecution of Ian Blair but of his office.

Danny Shaw reported. He looked at the range of options and claimed there wasn't enough evidence to pursue a prosecution. He would have to show it was unreasonable but officers said they were just carrying out instructions. When you put the picture together the CPS and Ken McDonald made a decision that the Met Commissioner's office must face the charge of not ensuring Jean Charles' health and safety. There is confusion over the log bog.

STUDIO INTERVIEW: GLEN SMYTHE, POLICE FEDERATION - we are very relieved the officers were vindicated in this way. The CPS feel there are matters to look at so it would be difficult to comment in advance of that case taking place. The loggist records what those who are following suspects say, if they misheard something they may record it wrong. They can agree with contents or if there are inaccuracies, if something is missing an alteration is made, that is permissible and accepted by courts.

STUDIO INTERVIEW: DAMIEN HOCKNEY, MET POLICE AUTHORITY - it is a mistake to prosecute the Met but if they don't they will think it's a cover up. It wont stem calls for entire public inquiry over all the things that happened last July. A long case could cause the police to pause in their attempts to defend us. I've been critical of Ian Blair but the police did what they did last year to protect us.

STUDIO INTERVIEW: ZABIA KHAN, H&S LAWYER - my job is to defend companies prosecuted by the H&S Executive, I can see why the CPS thought it appropriate to use this legislation rather than murder or manslaughter. The penalty if convicted is an unlimited fine especially as it involved a death in a public arena, it could be millions.

Danny reported. This may not stop people asking for a fully open public inquiry.

What a surprise! The CPS (government lackies) are not going to consider prosecuting policemen (enforcers of the government's police state). You can literally get away with murder in the UK - as long as you are a politician or a policeman. The totalitarian state moves a step closer.

Yes, well the CPS (a notoriously inefficient bunch anyway) are not an independent investigator like the Procurator Fiscal's Office in Scotland - in fact, when they set the thing up, they deliberately avoided establishing a Fiscal (they're having enough trouble with the House of Lords, especially the Law Lords, as it is).

I have a theory, though, and that is that it's not the Met that's the problem - I don't think they were behind the murder (or at least not in control of the operation). They'll make a sacrificial goat of Cressida Dick, of course, but I don't think it was her operation.

Just as with the Finsbury Park Mosque bust (ordered, against the advice of the Met, by "the highest political level"), I think the operation was under the control from start to finish of MI5 (they have a history of producing 'c***-ups' in Northern Ireland, too) and the 'perps' were not coppers but people from the "Special Reconnaissance Regiment" (or 22SAS without the professionalism).

Making any prosecution stick would be a non-starter, so - discretion being the better part of pusillanimity - it would be too much trouble to try. And shining too much attention and blame onto the Met is only going to produce leaks from disgruntled coppers as to who was really running the show - and, maybe, even why JCdM was assassinated.

Agree it may not have been cops who pulled the trigger, although I also feel previous "works to rule" etc by C019 mean they have such power that no Commissioner or Home Secretary has the nerve to take them on.
