creeping prohibition?

Post by SHERITON HOTEL »

Any 'legal eagles'online? have the police been given special power to confiscate alcohol from adult people, carried publicly, and pour it down the drain? I note that a sign has gone up at my local allotment threatening fines and imprisonment for possession of alcohol! There was something on Talksport radio this morning about a planned demo on Brighton beach to counter this attack on civil liberties (sorry to be so vague, I'll investigate and maybe get a link).

Not sure about England/Wales/Scotland but over here, local Council by-laws prohibit public consumption of alcohol and there are usually one or two people a month hauled up before the magistrates.
It's in the £30 fine range.
Dissolution of the Global Corporations.
It's the only way.

It's them or us.

Police been seizing alcohol here for couple of years. We are told its poured down the drain but who knows. Tough luck if your caught walking home from supermarket with couple bags of booze.

I would have thought that it only applies if someone is caught drinking on the street, or is seen as being "drunk and disorderly" while having alcohol "on their person" - what ever that means...

I am alcoholic myself and can down up to 1 1/2 bottles of vodka in a day without being "drunk and disorderly" and if I wasn't for having detox soon, it would undoubtedly kill me.

Alcohol is a powerful drug and for some people is very addictive. It is a poison and for the sake of the many thousands of lives that alcohol ruins and will eventually kill (and in the most horrible way); I think it should be banned altogether and world-wide.

We might have heard of a depopulation program...
