Danish news snippet surfaces Re: reports of shootings at Canary Wharf.
Below is the translation of a Danish news snippet of 7th July 2005 concerning reports of shootings at Canary Wharf :-
``Eyewitnesses: Two men shot in London
TV2/NEWS have just spoken with Marianne Jørgensen who is employed by the Access Flooring Company in London. She has through co-workers in the company learned that two suicide-bombers have been shot and killed at Canary Wharf.
"They called one of our bosses and told him that they have witnessed two men being shot - deliberately, by police or soldiers", says Marianne Jørgensen to TV2/NEWS. The police however denied at a press conference having received information about anyone being shot.''
The New Zealand Herald article remains on their website but there was another one from the South London Press which has recently been removed from theirs :-
POLICE were yesterday probing reports a man had been "neutralised" outside Canary Wharf. It is believed the man was shot dead by police marksmen outside the Credit Suisse First Boston bank. South London Press
