Are the patterns of security justification by the former STASI and Homeland Security familiar?

The STASI using the common enemy of capitalism, the prevention of western infiltration and Protection of 'The Party' of the DDR and its security interests versus the current 'War on Terror' propaganda. Same rubbish different year!
So, were the STASI's so-called 'security interests' genuinely in the name of preserving a communist state or to measure the effectiveness of a contemporary people spying operation?

The latter sounds far more likely if you ask me.

Ironically, for all the STASI's measures including a bureaucracy Stalin's Rabkrin would have envied (actually it was established whilst Lenin was in power to help eradicate the potential of former Tsarist officials from usurping the Bolshevik Party from within. Lenin put Stalin in charge of Rabkrin...a fatal mistake) it was anything but Communism.

Idealogies are one thing, but an overwhelming peoples' spying instrument can and should never be justified in the name of any security. What other similarities do the STASI and Homeland Security have then?

Clearly, Homeland Security has the advantage of many and various technical and computer spying equipment in its armoury, but what is most frightening is the mindset behind those who accept its use without question(i.e Guantanamo Bay). This is the very same mindset behind those who willingly put STASI suspects behind bars or allowed their torture. I don't know what's worse, those who implemented the STASI or those who took part as its executioners. In view of the de-humanisation of this organisation could the STASI have been an experiment to measure its effectiveness for future Orwellian style operations?

The same 'Problem, Reaction, Solution' appears far more obvious examining it from a historical perspective.

Interesting video content, but Watson's statement on 'non-existent global warming' is contestable at the very least. He is not a scientist so a statement like his needs to be backed-up with a solid scientific hypothesis and evidence.

The plan was to allow billions of people to flood this planet so that the elites and their bankers could get rich from money/debt slavery and then due to the overwhelming population an increase in global warming could be evidenced and then when they decide the time is right the final solution of culling 80% of the population could be put into practice...of course after they've wielded substantial global power and made enough money along the way.

What Watson also fails to mention is that only after their planned cull of 80% of us will the opolis rubbish be implemented. Do you(plural) think that the elites will wish to give us a glimpse into their idea of our possible future to give us hope and to distract us from what is far more serious right now, i.e the control of food via GM(Monsanto) and weather manipulation possibly bringing on a mini-ice age due to interference by the Gulf Stream. They will freeze and starve us to death.

I agree with you GodSavetheTeam, that something seriously needs to be done, but the population's apathy and selfishness will allow it to happen.

The four visions of our future in 2040 are therefore only for the remaining 20% that survive and I truly believe this, but am not prepared to dismiss this as a serious possibility because I don't want to face the reality of it. The people that will survive to see the Opolis will be the rich, and anyone who really wants to live and will do anything to achieve it including those within groups that are self-sustainable. Most of us will have to become mercenary to survive, but if you can get through that you can fight an Orwellian system.

Only the conscious like us know what's going on, but people can feel it, they can sense, in the spirit of Morpheus that there's something wrong with the world so it's up to us to educate I guess. Do we have time? Not much, but may'be enough to learn survival skills, be self-sufficient and ally yourself with others in the know. Look at how civilisations have come and gone...but I don't agree with Bill Ryan's 'Charles' that it's a fair contest.

If you focused less of your efforts on God(which doesn't exist) and more on actually doing some practical good then we all might stop this petty religious argument and get on with supporting those that are a force for good in the truth movement.

As for some people who believe in spiritual matters, who are genuine about it; but can still be satanically misguided, for example scientologist I have met and known personally at a high level within its teachings. Many of them do some work toward good works, but also some evil, for instance many years ago that’s where I got the meme “to spiritually get of the planet and if you don’t go along with it your prevent them” Which is an evil lie and dangerous body and Soul.

So your and/or theosophy stance is a lose, lose, situation; body and Soul.
And if you are athirst and think that it doesn’t matter because your here for only a short time, what does that say about you/their care for the next generation of children.

David Icke is supposed to be in the rear of the picture on the r/h/s as you're looking at it. Not the guy in the front l/h/s Thermate. This is what Gorilla199 says, but as you say Photoshop is pretty effective if you know what you're doing so I'm not sure if it's really him or not. The main question is though why are there two people in the picture that look like David Icke?

What I can say about David Icke is that he thrives on opposition and attention, but if you are one of his doting followers he's not interested in what you really have to say. I watched a clip of him backstage at the Brixton Academy after his show and Robert Green the solicitor working in support of Holly Grieg came in and David welcomed him. Now at the time Icke was throwing white wine down his neck like it was water and he had half a bottle left, but did he offer Robert Green a glass? ...did he heck!
