David Icke: Was He Right? (Documentary)

In the 1990s, David Icke appeared on chat shows across the country claiming that he was the son of the Godhead and delivering a message about the dark times that lay ahead. In particular, he claimed that from the turn of the Millennium until 2012, we would see chaos establish itself across the globe as war, economic collapse and terror took hold. Much derived at the time, Icke now has a global following who believe that his prophecies have come true. This documentary asks whether Icke was right.

Tuesday 26th December
23:00 - 00.00 - CH5
(Stereo, Subtitles)

Yo, Muti, good to see you still about.

Since the demise of Christianity in the west, people look for 'figureheads'. We used to have a Queen and Royal Family that we could look up to, but that whole concept has dramatically dropped away in the last three decades, compounded by scandal and death. Technology hasn't helped either, the mystique that surrounded The Royals has been encroached upon and we see them for what they really are, just a bunch of herberts with the same problems as everyone else (except money of course).

As for Icke, there are as many people who consider him clinically insane as a literal God figure. I admire him for the research (assuming it is him that does it,) and the dedication it takes to sit and churn out book after book - but I get the impression, he is the modern day Eric Von Daniken, he saw a niche and capitalized upon it. People like ‘weird’, people also like to believe there has to be more to everything than meets the eye. Icke is like a baker meeting the need for doughnuts.

As for his claim about ‘that from the turn of the Millennium until 2012, we would see chaos establish itself across the globe as war, economic collapse and terror’ – well, has there ever been a period when this hasn’t been the case? We’ve had global wars for centuries, all kinds of economic slumps, terrorism (IRA bombs in London), in fact can you name a period when the planet has experienced a period devoid of those things Icke claims will happen? You don’t need to be a genius to claim any of that stuff – challenge him in 2010 and of course he will be able to cite examples of his ‘prediction’.

Of course Icke was right – given the way the world is, he couldn’t be wrong.

I like the idea of him acting as a kind of replacement for the royal family, though. He'd make a far more interesting king than Charles...

He'd never get anything done. He'd spend the rest of his life wiping surfaces in buck palace looking for Lizard scales ;)

I think this doco is part of the general raising of the mercury in MSM coverage of conspiracy culture, as we approach 2012, as the beast must show himself before visably taking the riegns breifly, then be defeated by the forces of light an truth. (not a christian by the way, just think there's alot of truth in revalation)

I always find it helarious that some crack-pot news report can one day snap on a bad LSD trip and claim to be god's son making all sorts of prophetic announcemounts that people all over the world fall head over heals for.

Yet literature written 2000 years previous revered by billions around the world, claiming the exact same prophetic licence it ridiculed and hated.

Maybe its the lack of reptilian obsession that makes the bible so unpopular.

Its like Alex Jones once said. David Icke is both a saint and a pain in the arse! He gives us this wonderful punch bowl of information filled to the brim with the sweetest fruit-juice. Then he squates over it and drops an enormous log into it.

In fact Icke's work in general is an excellent multi-layered eclectic synopsis of how things are
Appreciate and draw out what you will
You don't have to buy into the whole lot

Indeed, he brings together lots of people's research, including hidden history, into a frightening view of the world.
And then he gives you hope on the spiritual side of things and by explaining that the generation of fear,
hate and other negative emotions are used to coerce you into servitude and the creation of a global fascist state.

he also quotes many new scientific discoveries relating to multi-dimensions, genetics, the atomic world, etc.

I think the two of them are quite similar actually - vain, constantly searching for something and with a tendency to proselytise.

Perhaps they are good qualities in the circles David Icke moves in, but in a King they are potentially disastrous. Which is another reason why his mum shows no sign of retiring.....

Hmmm Paul, strange you should kind of show sympathy for the queen's position. I thought you moved in circles with some disdain for royalty.

Anyway, as David himself said, it's absurd in the 21st century that anybody should claim the right to rule or any special privileges by dint of DNA

You don't have to be a supporter of the royal family to recognise that when it comes the her son, the Queen can spot a berk as well as any of us....

As some of you may know, I have an unfashionable and most un-conspiratorial sneaking admiration for E2R. She is pretty sussed. Remember ''YOU KNOW PAUL, THERE ARE FORCES AT WORK IN THIS COUNTRY OF WHICH WE KNOW NOTHING" (sorry for the caps. It just looks more impressive in caps).

What i personally can't stand , and here I go right OT, are all the courtiers and minor-aristocracy who go around patronizing the hell out of lesser folk who don't happen to own an estate or be named after some obscure character from Shakespeare. Like the elderly cousin of mine who terrorized her home helps and demanded of my partner , when we called at her disintegrating mansion, ''Who are You?'' "What's your name'? ' as if he was someone selling dishcloths at the door. Not that there is anything wrong with selling dishcloths at the door. Or the other distant relative who pointedly sends me mail addressed to MR AND MRS ANDREW LOWE- WATSON despite having met my partner on two occasions. Or the other younger cousin who announced once , ''let me see - you must stem from my Aunt -------"", as if I was a variety of vegetable - clearly a lowly one. And the root of this arrogance is simply an accident of birth that lands them in Burke's Peerage because their grandfather was born male and was older than my grandmother, as well as a royal connection by marriage. There is one who is tolerable and i wish him well. but the rest can go to Hertford, Hereford and Hampshire.

David Icke is the Goalie Host :D

What ever you think about the Ickeberg, remember - 'its just information, do with it what you will.'

Sounds like a vailed threat.

Of course she's still a puppet but there's :
the order of the garter,
the privy council,
the queen's perogative, i think it's called? (to over-rule any high court judgement),
and she's a distant cousin of gw bush according to burke's peerage.

Russel Brand may be loud and obnoxious most of the time but I have caught him making some surprisingly eloquent observations in between all the nonsense. The question I have Linda is which is the real mr brand the loud mouth or the thinker?
Either way its a good platform for Icke to say he's piece.

I just hope David can get through this geezers head, and is not wasting his valuable time. Russell Brand does not strike me as a thinker. so in my opinion The Loud mouth.

I think they may be a mismatched but well-wed pair
Both with a surfeit of verbal diarrhoea and a point to get across
One from the booky-wooky transitory fake world and the other from something more challenging.
Should be worth a take

Thought that went quite well in all fairness. Got 911 in there briefly and had quite a rapport with Brand.

Progress at the very least, lets wait and see if they catch up next week hey.

Russell allowed David to reel off some interesting stuff and paid him tons of compliments
Ive never heard Russell Brand stop talking as much as he just did,
Then he went on to say that next week his show is going to be broadcast on location from the isle of wight and would David make a personal appearance.
All this coupled with the fact that he talked about a revolution against the government al least twice leads me to think mr brand is up to something. If next weeks live show comes off as promised my opinion of Russell brand will be forever transformed
good stuff IMO

And George Bush snr exposed as a paedophile on the BBC.....now there's a first. Where are the lawyers threatening David with court action to clear the Bush family's name? The silence is deafening!
